SORA West is a multi-faceted project in downtown Conshohocken, PA. The project is at once a new build, redevelopment, and restoration project in an urban setting that, as a collective vision, was initiated by community leadership and local government. Partnering with a local developer, the focus was not only to create a cutting-edge mixed-use development, but to reestablish the town center and foster community growth, gathering, and connection through placemaking. Strategically situated amid a public transportation network, this project has become a primary gateway into the city and a destination for workers and the public at large.
The redevelopment of an entire city block, totaling four acres, features a LEED Silver 11-story office building with ground floor retail, a boutique hotel, parking structure, and the restored historic Conshohocken Firehouse, which has been reimagined as both restaurant and an entrance to the hotel.
The project was recognized with a 2024 Honor Award in General Design from the Pennsylvania-Delaware chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects.
