Pennsylvania State University: Schreyer Garden

Over a span of several years, Penn State University implemented a series of major renovations and additions on its main campus. In conjunction with several of these initiatives, the parks, plazas, gardens and courtyards designed by Ground Reconsidered respond to particular program needs and provide outdoor spaces for students, faculty and staff.

The Schreyer Garden, next to the Honors College, provides a place for students to relax in a lush garden within a grove of mature trees. The plaza sits on a promontory, offering a place of prospect across a sloping lawn to the University’s ‘main street’.
