Brad Thornton, PLA, ASLA, LEED AP
Principal
Brad excels at creating innovative and technically resourceful design solutions to complex site challenges. He is a skilled project manager with an innate design sensibility, and he works collaboratively across disciplines. The breadth of his 22 years of experience includes work on a variety of projects of different scales including parks, plazas, streetscapes, and academic and corporate campus design and masterplans. Brad’s talent and enthusiasm are evident in the quality of his award-winning built work, and through his mentoring to the firm’s staff.
Brad received his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Temple University, where he studied abroad at Temple’s Rome International Campus. He is a member of the Society of College and University Planning and the Urban Land Institute. Brad taught a landscape technical detailing class at the University of Pennsylvania Weitzman School of Design. When not in the office, much of Brad’s energy goes into his family, restoring his 1940’s house, tending his flock of chickens, and caring for his ever-expanding garden including a food crop garden, pollinator-friendly habitat, and a rain garden.
